Inspirations

I am Inspired by many things.........

But most of all my family inspire me to enjoy my patchwork & encourage me to keep making new & interesting quilts.

I have six grandchildren [5 girls &1 boy] who are all very encouraging & appreciate my work, especially when they are the recipient of a new quilt.  I often see puzzled looks on their faces when I announce their special quilt needs to go to a classroom before it finally gets to their bed.

My daughter {pictured here} is always supportive.  I love her input & appreciate her considered opinion on the latest design I might  be working on as she comes through the door.  She is my biggest fan, a little biased maybe, but she inspires me .......

Beautiful display at Lily Lane Rosedale

Was totally inspiring at Lily Lane, with some of the wonderful enthusiastic students I am lucky enough to be helping, & also to see the shop looking so wonderful.  The latest beautiful central display Jennifer & Trish have put together is gorgeous, & reminded me of the best times in our own shop.  I absolutely loved that particular chore, along with so many others.

Ahh those were the days, & the best memories!!!

Today I was inspired by the fabulous "Riviera Quilters Exhibition" in Bairnsdale Victoria. Some really lovely quilts hanging, & I was thrilled to see some of my students' work. In particular Kim Ellis's "Circles of Time"  It's beautiful & lovely to see it finished,  I adore the colour scheme.  Good job Kim, as always you do the most beautiful work.  Also, Glenda Ingram exhibited 11 quilts, all great quality work, congratulations to her, what an effort. Loved the "Creative Embroidery Group" section, I think it's a good idea to have other groups participate & it makes for a more interesting & diverse showing.  Well done everyone concerned!!
