Falling Stars ~ Quilt Class 10am - 4.30pm

At Candleberry Country Yarragon

We will be back at Candleberry Country for this popular Quilt class in January next year. Everyone I have taught this quilt to has been fascinated by the technique. It's fun & productive, making two stars at a time.

The size is adaptable & is easily altered to suit your needs. Some pre-cutting can be done & is useful for a quick start on the day of class. Nicole is offering fabric kits in a range of colours, which makes the decisions easy for those who like it that way. The Sample is on show at the shop now. Hope to see you there......

Needleturn Applique Class ~ 10am - 4.40pm

Nicole is the new owner of Candleberry Country Yarragon, & she is very keen to run lots of classes & workshops for her customers. So we are kicking off with some Needleturn Applique. It's such a lovely technique to learn, so rewarding & easier than it looks. So hopefully Nicole will have plenty of support & we will get a nice response to this class. This is a very enjoyable class, it gets you started on something achievable to start with & hopefully move on to other projects once you have a taste for it. I have been needleturning for a long time now, & it's my first love. Lets hope we can make it yours. The sample is on it's way to Nicole now.

This litle quilt is set for a class at Candleberry Country next month. It's a mini version of the Large quilt, Circles of Time. I have scaled the whole block down, & it is most suitable for a childs quilt. Don't you love the fabric range, My clever friend

Annie Downs (Hatched & Patched) designed it. This was her first range, can't wait to get her next one. If you look closely, you can see Annie's cute little sketches, & her colour mix is gorgeous.

One student who took a great liking to needleturn applique on Saturday, at Lily Lane Rosedale, here on the right is a little sample of her work. This was a lovely group of 12 ladies, who seemed to enjoy my class & I think we have some very keen to keep going. Well done girls, now all it takes is persistence & patience.

At Lily Lane Rosedale.

Back at Lily Lane next Saturday to teach Needle-turn Applique to around 12 ladies. I hope they find it as enjoyable as I do. This beginner class is a chance to give it a go, make a start on some simple needleturn, & see if it is for you. I love it & it's always my first choice of things to do. Most nights at home are spent with this lovely pastime. I so love this class.

Mother's Day workshop.

Wow what a wonderful time we all had at the "Patches Weekend" Phillip Island. My class of 16 were very productive & turned out some fabulous results, & what a lovely group of ladies. It was a pleasure to meet you & hopefully I've provided a new technique to use in inspiring ways. Their quilts will all be so different, that's exciting for me to see, a big thank you for making this class a very pleasant & enjoyable one. Here are a few of my favourite photos from the weekend.

"Patches Weekend" at Phillip Island

Class ~ Circles of Time Quilt.

This is the quilt we are doing & I am looking forward to meeting the 17 ladies in my class this weekend. We will have a wonderful time & great results with lots of circle blocks finished.

I am almost ready for the big trip down the highway to Phillip Island. Class notes, Quilts, Patterns all done, pack a bag & head off Friday morning early.

Can't Wait!!!
